I want to thank you, my remarkable family, neighbors, friends, and supporters for your volunteer time, financial resources, writing, and opening your homes and businesses to spread the word that we can make a difference in our state.  I'm thankful for all of the encouragement I've received throughout the district and state. Numerous elected officials and community leaders have recognized the hard work my volunteers and supporters poured into my race. Together we ran a campaign that touched the lives and hopes of so many. The great diversity of my support and the relationships formed will carry on far beyond this election and we will continue to stand up for a better California. Our entire state and nation needs us - this is not the time to withdraw. Please continue to speak out, educate and inform. Let's continue to watch our representatives and hold them accountable. Let's not allow our egos to get in the way and remember money unfortunately does drive the message.  Your contributions were the fuel that kept my focus on our message and race 24-7. In the final weeks special interest benefactors poured over $634,000 into my opponent's campaign. Campaigns take tremendous personal and financial sacrifice. Many of you rallied but we did not overcome the outside intrusion of special interest money. Regrettably, I must ask one final time for your help with the debt that needs to be paid.
